Following a two and a half hour closure for winter maintenance, Interstate 70 over Vail Pass has reopened.
The closure extended from Exit 180 near Vail to Exit 195 near Copper Mountain following a storm that shut down the interstate in multiple locations over many days.
Heavy and sustained snowfall prompted avalanches in Ten Mile Canyon and Loveland Pass over the weekend.
