Summit School District implements two-hour delay Tuesday
Summit School District is operating on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Officials cited snowfall on Monday throughout the day and night — along with impacts of heavy visitation over Presidents’ Day weekend — as reasons for the delay.
“We work hard to make weather-related decisions using extensive data and real-time assessments,” a message from the district stated. “We understand that yesterday’s conditions were difficult, and we appreciate your patience as we prioritize safety for our students, staff and families.”
Start times for schools: Summit High School at 9:45 a.m., Snowy Peaks at 10 a.m., Summit Middle School at 10 a.m. and elementary schools at 10:40 a.m.
