The Tampa Bay-based nonprofit Wheelchairs 4 Kids recently brought 20 children with physical disabilities to Breckenridge to try out adaptive downhill skiing.

The group, which consisted of 60 total guests including 20 “Wheel Kid” participants, arrived at Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center on March 29. The participants spent two days on the slopes with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, a Wheelchairs 4 Kids’ nonprofit partner that provides the equipment, instructors and volunteers.

This year marks the third year that Wheelchairs 4 Kids has been able to bring a group of kids to Colorado to participate in adaptive snow skiing.
