Where to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Summit County
All four ski areas in Summit County are throwing their own New Year’s Eve bash this year. Whether you are looking for a night out with friend, or something for your family with young kids, there is something happening for all ages.
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is hosting a New Year’s Eve party at Black Mountain Lodge from 7-11 p.m.
The event features special musical guest Hazel Miller & The Collective. Participants will be able to ride the Black Mountain Express under the stars, skin, or snowshoe up to the scenic mid-mountain location. Once guests arrive at Black Mountain Lodge, they’ll be invited in with a complimentary glass of California sparkling wine and extensive hors d’oeuvres. Live music by Hazel Miller & The Collective will begin at 8:30 p.m., followed by a chef-prepared, buffet-style feast.
The event will celebrate New Year’s at 10 p.m., or midnight on the East Coast, for early-to-bed, early-to-rise Summit County folks. The night will continue with music through 11 p.m. Reservations are required. Entry cost is $239 per person, plus tax.
Copper Mountain Resort
Copper Mountain Resort is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration from 6-11 p.m. at Aerie’s mid-mountain lodge. Travel from Center Village via the gondola starting at 5:45 p.m. The event features baked brie, charcuterie, crudité and hand-passed appetizers while taking in scenic views. Dinner selections start at 6:45 p.m. and include grilled tomahawk and cauliflower steak, a raw seafood bar, portobello fries, baked oysters, and roasted chicken and veggies, all topped off with desserts from the Copper bakeshop.
There will be two floors with entertainment at the Aerie lodge. The lower level will boast a lively, upbeat environment with a live band. The upper level will offer a DJ with a more relaxed setting where you can reminisce on the best moments from 2023. Ring in the New Year at 10 p.m. with a champagne toast and exclusive viewing of a jaw-dropping fireworks show. Tickets for the gondola are included in the reservation and can be picked up at the ticket kiosk in Center Village or at Guest Services in Camp Hale Outfitters.
Copper Mountain is hosting another event that night at its Center Village. Skiers can take their last laps of the year and celebrate the New Year with a DJ set, torchlight parade, fireworks, dinner, drinks and more. It all takes place at Eagle’s Landing in Copper’s Center Village. The DJ, torchlight parade and fireworks are all free to spectators. The Torchlight Parade down Main Vein will be at 6 p.m., and fireworks will be at 10 p.m.
Breckenridge Ski Resort
The Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School will be hosting its annual Torchlight Parade on Peak 9 at 6 p.m. Prior to the Torchlight Parade, kids are invited to participate in the Glow Worm Parade if they are able to ski/ride a green run on their own.

Afterwards, the Warren Station will be celebrating New Year’s Eve with hours of groovy beats by Funkiphino starting at 7:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “All that Glitters & Glows,” so participants are encouraged to wear a sparkly suit and get ready to groove into the new year. This event is for all ages. Organizers say people should purchase tickets in advance and arrive early to get first dibs on free merchandise.
