Letter to the editor: Breckenridge should limit hotel shuttle buses in town

Dave McCormick
Breckenridge

Last week I counted 12 shuttle buses parked at The Grand Lodge. In the name of the environment and traffic congestion, Breckenridge needs reform for hotel shuttle buses.

First off, ban hotel shuttles from Main Street. There is already a trolley that goes up and down Main Street all day. Plenty of options exist off Park Avenue to drop off guests. Main Street is always a mess of traffic, and this move would really help.

Second, limit the number of shuttles a hotel can operate. There are already buses and a gondola to get people to town from peaks 7 and 8.

If you feel strongly about this issue and have more ideas, please call and email Breckenridge town council members. Make your voice heard!
